Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
On behalf of the entire Centreville community, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2025 and their families. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and look forward to the positive impact you will make on yourselves, our community, and the world.
As we wrap up the school year, final exams for underclassmen will take place on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, there will be no exams or scheduled classes. Students who attend school that day will be supervised in the cafeteria and/or auditorium, where they can sign yearbooks and spend time with peers. Dismissal will be at 10:20 AM, and grab-and-go lunches will be available.
Our final PTSA meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00PM. Strengthening our PTSA is a top priority, as the partnership between students, staff, and families is essential to the success of our students and our entire community. We hope to elect new PTSA leadership and encourage all families to get involved in shaping the future of our school.
This will be the final edition of the Wildcat Weekly for the 2024–2025 school year. Weekly newsletters will resume at the end of July. Be sure to mark your calendar for Wildcat Welcome, scheduled for Thursday, August 14 to better align with the release of schedules on StudentVUE and ParentVUE. More details will be shared as we approach the start of the new school year.
Wishing everyone in Wildcat Nation a restful, relaxing, and recharging summer!
Thank you and Go Wildcats!
Dr. Erik Healey, Principal

Liaise with CVHS leadership on issues concerning the PTSA. If needed, represent the PTSA to organizations outside of CVHS. Lead PTSA meetings. Vice President: Support and backup the president in all the roles and responsibilities of that position. Assume leadership of individual PTSA projects as determined by the PTSA Board.

Centreville Student Honored at Cappies Awards: On June 2, schools from all over the DMV area gathered at the Kennedy Center for the annual Cappies Gala. The Cappies is a year-long program for theatre and journalism students through which students attend and discuss each other's shows, write reviews for publication, and at the end of the season decide who of their colleague student performers and technicians should be honored for awards. Congratulations to CVHS student, Madelyn Regan, who won the Maryland Theater Guide Returning Critic Cappie Award.
Required Immunizations for Rising 7th and 12th Graders: Additional immunizations are required for students entering 7th and 12th grades:
- All students entering 7th grade are required to receive one dose of each of the following immunizations before the beginning of school: Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis booster (Tdap), Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
- To meet the Tdap requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age seven or older.
- To meet the MenACWY requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 10 or older.
- As a parent/guardian, you may decide not to have your child receive the HPV vaccination. If that is the case, the school does not require documentation.
- All students entering 12th grade are to receive one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) before the beginning of school.
- To meet the MenACWY 12th grade requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 16 or older.
Please consider getting your child’s immunizations early so that they can attend school in the fall. Summer is a busy time for families and health care providers. As long as your child meets the age requirements listed above, they can be immunized at any time.
Local immunization clinics and additional resources are available on the FCPS Immunization Resources webpage and from the Fairfax County Health Department.
