🌟CRES All-Stars!🌟

BINGO

💙 We came for BINGO. We stayed for the community. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to our PTA for bringing us together all year long—from laughter-filled BINGO nights to unforgettable moments of learning and joy.

Dear CRES Community,

As we move through the final days of the school year, we are embracing this time with gratitude, reflection, and care. While some students eagerly anticipate summer, others may be feeling a mix of emotions. For many children, school provides a sense of stability, belonging, and safety—something we are deeply mindful of as we close out the year.

We are proud of the joy, growth, and learning that have defined our time together, and we are committed to making each remaining day meaningful, supportive, and filled with connection.

Here's what we’re celebrating in these final days:

✅ Amazing growth in reading, math, and creativity
✅ Leadership in action through Patrols, SCA, EcoAdvocates, and more
✅ Lifelong memories made during field trips, spirit days, and special events
✅ A school community that shows up, supports one another, and finishes strong!

But don’t pack the beach towels just yet—we still have 8 days of learning, laughter, and leadership left to go! 🎓🌟

Help us make these final days meaningful:

  • Attendance matters! Every day counts—let’s finish with strong routines.

  • Celebrate progress. Ask your child what they’re proud of this year.

  • Join us! Be on the lookout for upcoming celebrations and class events.

  • Shout it out! We love hearing your stories—share a photo or memory on our school social media using our hashtag, #CRESAllStars.

As we head into the homestretch, let’s keep the momentum high and the smiles wide. The last days of school are a chance to reflect, celebrate, and say “see you soon” to the incredible friends and teachers who made this year unforgettable.

Thank you for being our partners in learning, growing, and leading—together, we are RAM-azing. 🐏❤️

Warmly,

Dr. Hertzberg, Ms. Baugh, Ms. Sutton, Ms. Helmer, and Ms. Ford

FCPS News Updates

🐻It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!

Attending kindergarten provides children with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives. Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, between January and April. Eligible children can also be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps us prepare and ensure we have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.

Families should prepare for registration by gathering documents and completing forms on the FCPS kindergarten registration webpage. FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, visit the kindergarten registration webpage.

✨ A strong start is Goal 1 of the 2023-30 Strategic Plan

School Board Unanimously Adopts the FCPS 2025-26 Budget

The Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the FCPS Fiscal Year 2025-26 Approved Budget. Facing years of chronic underfunding, the final budget required $121 million in reductions to the needs-based budget that was carefully developed with the FCPS community’s high expectations in mind. While these cuts and reductions will impact our classes, the school division will continue to do what is necessary to provide a world-class education for every student. Read the budget news release

Phase 2 Community Boundary Review Meetings

You are invited to participate in a community meeting to review and reflect on the initial draft boundary scenarios before the start of summer break:

Click the date to register. Each meeting will be hybrid, meaning that you may attend in person or via Zoom. Child care for in-person participants and language interpretation/translation for all participants will be available as needed. Another round of community meetings will be held in the fall.

🌱 Your Child's Mental Wellness Matters: Access Comprehensive Services
