Secure the Building at Nearby Schools
Good Afternoon Families,
Some of our families may have been impacted by a “Secure the Building” situation at Chantilly High School, Rocky Run Middle School, Greenbriar East Elementary School, and Greenbriar West Elementary School. As a reminder, Secure the Building means that outside activities are canceled and all exterior doors are locked, while students and staff are able to move around the inside of the building.
At no point was there an indication that this event would impact Poplar Tree so we did not go into Secure the Building.
This notification is simply to keep you aware of situations within the community, as well as to let you know that we were on top of the situation and made intentional decisions with your child’s safety in mind.
