 Our “Teaching Resilience through Drama” will continue to use theatre to strengthen the literacy, art and math skills our students need for graduation and professional success.

- June 3rd - Early Dismissal/Graduation Day - 10:30am Dismissal
- June 5th, 6th, 9th & 10th - Early Dismissal/Exams - 11:10am Dismissal
- June 11th - Last Day of School - 10:00am Dismissal
We will be collecting Chromebooks for all students; no Chromebooks should be kept for the summer.
Seniors:
- Rob is available every day in his office if seniors want to turn in their laptop before May 23rd
- On Friday, May 23rd, Rob will be in the lobby at dismissal to collect laptops from seniors
- On Monday, June 2nd, Rob will be in front of the auditorium collecting laptops from seniors beginning at 8:30am (this is the last collection date before a senior will be given an obligation to pay for the laptop)
Underclass:
- June 5-10 Rob will be available in his office during the school day for any student who wants to turn in their laptop
- June 5-10 Rob will be available in the lobby at dismissal to collect laptops
- June 11 Rob will be in the gym to collect laptops until dismissal (this is the last collection date before student will be given an obligation to pay for the laptop)
If a student would like to keep a laptop for the summer (for summer school or personal use), they must turn in their Chromebook and they will be given a Dell laptop to use for the summer.

Throughout May and June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, there is a list of tests by grade level on the FCPS website.
How the results are delivered depends on the test. Scores will be delivered in SIS ParentVUE or from the school or testing organization. Learn what to expect regarding assessment reporting practices and timelines.
Visit FCPS’ website for additional information about how test results are reported to families. Individual test websites provide report translations and help for interpreting test results. Please contact us with any testing questions or for additional information about how we use test results to support student success.
Support Your Child’s Success in SIS ParentVUE Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. Information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. A SIS ParentVUE app is available for Apple and Android devices.

All Fairfax County middle and high school students can get a Student Bus Pass SmarTrip card to ride the Fairfax Connector and Fairfax CUE buses for free! With the pass, fares are free from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, all year. Learn more about the Student Pass. Complete the application and return it to our front office.
Our students can ride Metrobus for free, in addition to the Fairfax Connector and City of Fairfax CUE. Visit the Fairfax County website for details and approved Metrobus routes. Complete the application and return it to our front office.
Children 12 and younger ride for free on Fairfax Connector with a paying adult.
Additional immunizations are required for students entering 7th and 12th grades.
- All students entering 7th grade are required to receive one dose of each of the following immunizations prior to the beginning of school: Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis booster (Tdap), Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
- To meet the Tdap requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 7 or older.
- To meet the MenACWY requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 10 or older.
- As a parent/guardian, you may decide that your child not receive the HPV vaccination. The school does not require documentation if a parent/guardian elects for their student not to receive the HPV vaccination.
- All students entering 12th grade are to receive one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) prior to the beginning of school.
- To meet the MenACWY 12th grade requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 16 or older.
Please consider getting your child’s immunizations early so that they can attend school in the fall. Summer is a busy time for families and healthcare providers. As long as your child meets the age requirements listed above, they can be immunized at any time. Additional resources are available on the FCPS Immunization Resources webpage and the Fairfax County Health Department.
Although the school year is winding down, virtual therapy sessions are still available to FCPS high school students at no cost to provide a safe space to address concerns such as:
- Mood/behavior changes, motivation, grief/loss.
- Anxiety, worry, fears.
- Social skills, bullying, peer and family relationships.
- Academic stress.
Students can be referred by a guardian or designated school staff member. You may refer your child by calling 571-749-2940 or by contacting an FCPS school counselor, social worker, psychologist, or director of Student Services. Visit the FCPS Teletherapy webpage for more information.
🌱 Your Child's Mental Wellness Matters: Access Comprehensive ServicesReach out to the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) for specialized youth mental health services designed to help your child succeed. The CSB has individual and family counseling, psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, parenting groups, peer support, crisis response, recovery supports that include medication-assisted treatment (MAT), intensive services, and other options.

The Office of the Ombuds engages with families, students, and staff to offer resources and improve the experience of each and every member of the FCPS community.
