Boundary Study Updates

Dear Weyanoke Families,

The school district is in the process of creating new boundaries to better support student population growth, changes in school capacity, student health and wellness, and evolving community needs. The current draft of Weyanoke’s proposed boundary change will impact the Lerner Morningside Apartments. In the current draft of the boundary change, the entire Morningside complex, except The Towers (4949 Manitoba Drive) would attend Bren Mar Park Elementary, Holmes Middle School and Edison High School. The Towers (4949 Manitoba Drive) are still assigned to Weyanoke Elementary, Holmes Middles School and Annandale High School.

Please note, the changes are not finalized and will not take place before the 2026 – 2027 school year. There have been a series of boundary study meetings throughout the school district and the next one is tonight at Annandale High School. 📍 Community Boundary Review Meetings

You are invited to participate in a series of community meetings to review and reflect on the initial draft scenarios before the start of summer break:

Click on the date to register. Each meeting will be hybrid (in-person and virtual). Child care for in-person participants and language interpretation/translation for all participants will be available as needed. If you register to attend online, you will receive a Zoom link within 24 business hours. The email will come from “no-reply@zoom.us.” Check your spam folder if you do not receive the link.

At each meeting, the consultant will be using an online tool that allows participants to submit feedback during the meetings. Comments will be displayed to meeting participants in real time, and all collected input will be compiled, analyzed, and uploaded to our Comprehensive Boundary Review webpage
