Wolftrap will honor Memorial Day with a flag ceremony tomorrow, May 23rd, at 8:15 a.m. at the flagpole in front of the school. Students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Scouts and military parents are welcome to wear their uniforms.
Be sure to check out the beautiful display case inside the school, honoring those who served and gave the greatest sacrifice for our country. Thank you to Wolftrap parent Emmanouel Lee, for creating the beautiful display.
As the final “special project of the year” the PTA voted to approve the renovation of the much loved Wolftrap Library. Renovations will be scheduled during the summer months in order to minimize disruptions and student contact with construction zones. This timing will allow for more convenient construction logistics with fewer students and staff on campus.
Students, staff, and librarian, Ms. Hardin, will have much to look forward to this Fall!
This year's field day is Wednesday, June 4th, and Mr. Bechtle is looking for volunteers! Please visit the sign-up sheet to volunteer for a spot!
Ideally, it would be great to have a morning set of volunteers and an afternoon set. *Preferably parents of students who are participating in that session, so that they are able to see their kids.
Parents! Be sure to check the lost and found before the end of the year, or have your child check it out when they are in the cafeteria for lunch!
Anything that is not claimed during the week of June 16th will be donated!

Fourth graders enjoyed two days focused on Virginia history this week! The United States Army Old Fife and Drum Corps from Fort Myer, VA, came for a performance and discussion/questions with students on Tuesday, May 20th. Next up was a full day of Virginia history on Wednesday, the 21st! Students enjoyed stations that included bartering, planting, hunting, and more!
