Day Prom Fun
Grace Covenant Church partners with both Herndon HS and Westfield HS to host a Day Prom activity for students with disabilities who may not otherwise be able to participate in a Prom-like activity. Some students really dive in wearing beautiful prom dresses or suits while others dress comfortably. All students eat, dance, partake in the photo booths, and just have a really fun time laughing and enjoying each other.
Real World Connections in Spanish 4
A native of Spain, Señor Collantes discussed the recent blackout in Spain with his Spanish 4 classes and created an engaging activity that challenged his students to use the past conditional in a real-world context. As one student noted, “It’s nice to be exposed to current events,” highlighting the relevance and authenticity this activity brought to their learning.
