What's Happening at LCES?!
 4th graders are learning about space in science. This week, to review the phases of the moon, they used Oreos to show their knowledge during this fun “quiz.”
 Memorial Day Holiday

 We're incredibly grateful for all the time you volunteered this year! Whether you helped for a few minutes or a few hours, you truly made Lees Corner a better place. Your time and efforts genuinely matter, and we appreciate it so much.

 The Fairfax County Health Department is offering Back to School Immunication clinics in August. Locations and times of these these clinics is also posted on FCPS's Immunization Resources webpage.
Please note that appointments are required, and some extended hours are available. Call 703-246-7100 for an appointment.
PARENTS ONLY must pick-up all medications no later than 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. Please call the health room at 703-227-3510 before coming to pick up medications.
- Medications may also be picked up prior to June 11 during health room hours: 9:00am – 3:30pm.
- Medication left in the Health Room after 1:35 p.m. on June 11 cannot be saved and will be discarded according to FCPS and FCHD policy.
- REMINDER: New medication authorization forms are required for each new school year. Forms at: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/forms

6th Grade Luncheon
The 6th grade luncheon is the final PTA event for the year! This is another huge labor of love brimming with phenomenal volunteers coming together for our graduating 6th graders. Please remember, no parents are allowed at the 6th Grade Luncheon (not even the parents that volunteered!) but there will be plenty of pictures and videos to share.

After-school Enrichment Survey
As the school year winds down and after-school enrichment programs are coming to an end, if they haven't already ended, please take a few moments to fill out this survey regarding our after-school programs regardless if your child participated or not. We'd love to hear from you. Please email LCESafterschoolenrichment@gmail.com for further comments that cannot be included in the survey.
 2025 Franklin Band & Orchestra Camp – Registration Now Open!
Franklin Band and Orchestra Camp is a half-day summer program designed to develop young musicians of all ability levels and is open to students between the ages of 9-14. The camp has four Band Ensembles and five Orchestra Ensembles. Each day, students will have the opportunity to grow musically through both large ensemble performance and small group/instrument-specific clinics. The amount of instruction in one DAY of camp is roughly equivalent to FOUR WEEKS of elementary band or strings lessons during the school year. This can really accelerate a child’s musical development. We highly recommend camp for anyone who is considering an instrument switch. Franklin Band & Orchestra Camp is a fantastic summer opportunity for young musicians and a great place to make music while making friends.
