Dear Oak View Families,
I can hardly believe how quickly this school year is flying by! Monday will mark only 13 days of school remaining. Let's make the absolute most of every moment we have together. Please continue to encourage our amazing Eagles to make good choices, try their best, and finish the year strong!
Speaking of amazing Eagles, I had the most wonderful time this past week once again enjoying "Donuts with the Principal." This week it was with two exceptional students, Ellie and Maggie, who won the PTA raffle – a huge thank you to our fantastic PTA for making this possible! These two cousins brought so much joy and insight to our morning. We indulged in their favorite donuts with delicious strawberry frosting, while I enjoyed my go-to chocolate. Beyond the sweet treats, it was a time of truly great conversation. These exceptional Eagles taught me all about our Student Leadership Group and the incredible ways this group gives back to our school and community. I was impressed by their understanding of the group's mission and their passion for making a positive difference.
It's moments like these that truly highlight the incredible spirit and potential within our student body. Our Eagles consistently impress me with their thoughtfulness, their dedication, and their commitment to our school.
Let's continue to support one another in these final days and celebrate all the achievements, big and small, that have made this year so special.
Warmly,
Jamie

Limited Early Release Days Continue Next Year
During a report to the School Board this month, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid announced plans to continue limited early release days for elementary schools. They will shift to Wednesdays for the 2025-26 school year.
This plan is based on recommendations from the Early Release Steering Committee, which includes parents, caregivers, school-based staff, and central office personnel. Read more about the reasons for early release and the proposed early release dates.
Student Testing Results Coming Soon
Throughout May and June, you will receive your child’s spring assessment results. If you aren’t sure what assessments your child took this year, view this list of tests by grade level.
How the results are delivered depends on the test. Scores will be delivered in SIS ParentVUE or from the school or testing organization. Learn what to expect regarding assessment reporting practices and timelines.
Visit the FCPS website for additional information about how test results are reported to families. Individual test websites provide report translations and help with interpreting test results. Caregivers should contact their children’s schools with any testing questions or for additional information about how schools and teachers use test results to support student success.
Access Test Results and Grades in SIS ParentVUE
Signing up for a SIS ParentVUE account helps you to support your child’s academic success! Caregivers can view important information like attendance, grades, progress reports, and assessment scores through ParentVUE.
Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. And information about students in the same family can be accessed through the same account. A SIS ParentVUE app is available for Apple and Android devices.
Need help creating a SIS ParentVUE account? This video walks through the steps. Find out more about SIS ParentVUE.
If you already have an account, be sure your contact information is up to date. Learn more about updating your information on ParentVUE.
