Monday, May 19 is our last Early Release Monday. The school day will end at 12:20 unless you have already signed up for child care for the afternoon.

Monday, May 19 – Future Career Day: Dress like the career you’d like to have when you grow up!
Tuesday, May 20 – Tourist Tuesday: Dress like a tourist! Think fanny packs, visors, hiking poles, etc.
Wednesday, May 21 – Get Wiggy with it Wednesday: Wear your best wig or style your hair in a crazy way!
Thursday, May 22 – Under the Sea Thursday: Dive into an ocean themed costume! Animal, pirate, ocean explorer – the possibilities are endless! Or wear Mosaic blue!
Friday, May 23 – PJ Friday: our tried and true Pajama Day! (Please no slippers)
📘Yearbook Purchasing
Yearbooks are still on sale! They are $15 each and are available for purchase by cash or check (made out to Mosaic Elementary PTA), or online at www.yearbookordercenter.com. Enter 26234 as the school order number. Yearbooks will be distributed during the last week of school.
📝 2025-26 School Registration Still Open
Know someone who just moved into the neighborhood? Need to register your kindergartener? There's still time to register for the 2025–2026 school year!
Online registration is now open at fcps.edu/online-registration. Prefer paper? No problem! Families can download forms at fcps.edu/registration/forms or swing by the school office anytime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up a packet.
National School Nurse Day was on May 7th. We appreciate Mr. Katzman, our School Nurse, and Ms. Taylor, our School Health Aide, for all they do to keep us safe and healthy!

Restaurant Night: Help the PTA raise some funds at Chuck E. Cheese (9404 Main St. Fairfax) on Friday, May 16th from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Mention our school when making any purchases (games, food, drinks, dessert), and our PTA will receive 20% of all proceeds.

End-of-Year Family Picnic: This event will take place on Sunday June 8th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Nottoway Park. Save the date and come celebrate the end of the school year with other Mosaic families! Bring your own picnic and games, and the PTA will organize a food truck for buy-your-own treats!

👮Hidden in Plain Sight
Hidden in Plain Sight (HIPS) is a community awareness program designed to enlighten parents through a unique learning experience encompassing insights into trends and indicators of potentially risky behavior.
The program begins with a “show and tell” highlighting red flags that may indicate risky behavior in teens. A presentation follows, covering topics such as substance use, mental health concerns, vaping, risky sexual behaviors, and trending online challenges. Law enforcement officers will share local insights and experiences. The session concludes with guidance on how to talk with teens about these issues and respond effectively.
Registration is required, and seats are limited for this free event. Please note that this presentation is 2 hours long and we ask that you arrive on time due to the amount of content we cover. The presentation will start at 6:30 p.m.
You must be 18 or older to attend. No children are allowed at this presentation.

🏀Fairfax High School Girls Basketball Camp
The Fairfax Girls Basketball Staff is hosting basketball camp the week of July 14-18 from 9 a.m-3 p.m. at Fairfax HS for rising 2nd-7th graders.
