 Dear Stone Families,
We are entering those final exciting weeks of the school year! This season is filled with wonderful culminating events — from final track meets to spring concerts — and we hope you'll be able to join us in the celebrations.
This week, we’re thrilled to showcase the talents of our student musicians at three evening concerts:
- 🎶 Band Concert – Tuesday at 7:00 PM
- 🎤 Choir Concert – Wednesday at 7:00 PM
- 🎻 Orchestra Concert – Thursday at 7:00 PM
Please join us if you can — our students have worked hard and are excited to perform for you!
A quick reminder: this is also the final week of our after-school program and late buses, which will end on Thursday.
Over the weekend, Stone was buzzing with activity and Panther pride. Mrs. Maxted and the incredibly talented cast of The Addams Family lit up the stage and packed the theatre. It was such a fun, engaging show — and I’m still blown away by the stage setup!
Meanwhile, Mr. Anderson led a group of 20 young men to an 8v8 soccer tournament at Katherine Johnson Middle School — and our 8th grade team brought home the championship trophy! The team played three back-to-back games, with Reuben scoring three goals in one match! Shout-outs also go to Matthew and Gerard for their standout performances. I couldn’t be prouder!
Our spring track team, coached by Mr. McClay, Ms. Hooper, and Ms. Peart, also wrapped up their final regular season meet. We are proud to share that ten of our student-athletes have qualified for the championship meet on May 31st at Robinson Secondary. Go, Panthers!
It was a busy weekend, but I enjoyed every moment spent celebrating with our students and appreciating the dedication of our staff. Stone continues to be the best middle school in Fairfax County — and that’s because of the incredible students, families, and staff who make up our community.
Let’s have a great SPIRIT week, Panthers!

25-26 Westfield HS Rising 9 Course Request Review and Level Change Request
The Master Schedule of classes is developed from the student course requests submitted in March and is finalized in the summer to set student and teacher schedules. Every effort is made to provide students with their initial course selection, but alternate courses may be used to fulfill a student’s schedule in cases of conflicts, closed or canceled courses.
To review your student’s course request, please login to ParentVue or StudentVue:
May 19th - May 30th, students will have the opportunity to review their course requests, and based on availability, make level change requests (e.g., Standard to Honors). All change requests will be reviewed by the Administration until Summer Break. If approved throughout the summer, updates can be seen via ParentVue.
Please note:
To submit a request, please contact your middle school counselor directly.
