Social Work Spotlight

Tips to Help Teens Stay Safe and Healthy Using Social Media (and how to make a social media plan with your child). By Kelly Burch, The Jed Foundation.
Headlines about the effects of social media on teens can be scary. A recent report from the U.S. Surgeon General suggests that social media can contribute to depression, anxiety, and lack of self-confidence. Yet social media use is almost unavoidable, with 95% of American teens using a social platform, making social media safety tips essential.

Seniors Losing Google Access

Seniors, as you get ready to graduate, please remember to download your files from Google Drive. You have until May 27th to download everything you need. On May 28th, your school Google accounts will be deactivated, and you will permanently lose access to all your Google Drive documents. Unfortunately, we won't be able to recover these files for you.

To download your Google Drive, please follow the instructions below. If you need any help, feel free to stop by the Media Center to see Mr. Poumade or Ms. Joyce, or visit the tech team members in E108.

This year students have the option to use Google Takeout to export their files. Visit Google’s directions here: How to download your Google data using Takeout. It’s important to know that you will only be able to export files for which you are the owner.

We need more volunteers to help distribute the rest of the caps and gowns at graduation rehearsal on Friday, May 23rd from 10:00am - 11:30am (at Robinson).
