Attendance Matters!
It is important that your child attend school daily over the next few weeks to finish the school year strong. The deans and teachers are here to support but they must be here to receive the support. We are all committed to your child's success. Please help us help them by ensuring that they attend school every day through the remainder of the school year.
Reminder: The deans have relocated to the main office. As a result, after-school support for attendance and academics will take place in conference room 1043 located in the main office. If your child has missed more than 10 days of school or needs assistance in math or English, please have them check in with Ms. Miller, the deans' administrative assistant, in the attendance office located inside the main office.
We will continue to provide support on Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM until May 21st. Please note that May 21st is the last day for students to make up for lost time and missed assignments with the deans.
If you have questions, email us at FCDeans@fcps.edu.

Required Immunizations for Rising 7th and 12th Graders
Additional immunizations are required for students entering 7th and 12th grades:
- All students entering 7th grade are required to receive one dose of each of the following immunizations prior to the beginning of school: Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis booster (Tdap), Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
- To meet the Tdap requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 7 or older.
- To meet the MenACWY requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 10 or older.
- As a parent/guardian, you may decide that your child not receive the HPV vaccination. The school does not require documentation if a parent/guardian elects for their student not to receive the HPV vaccination.
- All students entering 12th grade are to receive one dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) prior to the beginning of school.
- To meet the MenACWY 12th grade requirement, the vaccination must be administered at age 16 or older.

As long as your child meets the age requirements listed above, they can be immunized at any time. Additional resources are available on the FCPS Immunization Resources webpage and the Fairfax County Health Department.
