Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, and mother-figures in the Centreville community! We celebrate and appreciate everything you do.
Last week, we honored our amazing Wildcat staff with a variety of activities and events. Thanks to the generous support of our PTSA, our staff enjoyed bagels, ice cream, a catered lunch, and received new Centreville gear. We also had fun with staff-only spirit days. A special thank you to School Board member Mr. Moon for visiting and surprising one of our retiring teachers, Mr. We, with a thoughtful sendoff. Mr. Moon also got some Centreville swag of his own. We are deeply grateful for the dedication and hard work of our staff.
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we want to remind everyone to stay focused and finish strong. This week, AP exams and SOL testing will continue. In the coming weeks, we look forward to culminating performances from our orchestra and choir, our annual Bandemonium, and postseason play for our spring sports teams. For our seniors, only two weeks of classes remain before final exams. It’s crucial that all students stay engaged, attend regularly, and keep working hard.
Finally, we encourage all parents and guardians to attend our upcoming PTSA meeting on Monday at 7:00 PM in the library. We are actively seeking PTSA officers for the next school year and would love your involvement to help us continue supporting our students and school community.
Thank you and Go Wildcats!
Dr. Erik Healey

New Physical Form for Athletics: A new law that becomes effective on July 1, 2025, requires students to submit to the school principal or designee a signed Preparticipation Physical Evaluation form completely filled in and properly signed, attesting that the student has received a physical examination, was found to be physically fit for athletic competition no more than 14 calendar months prior to the date on which the health care official signed the report, and that the student’s parents consent to the student’s participation.
The new physical form can be found here. We continue to encourage students and families to get their annual physicals in the months of May, June, and July, as this will ensure students’ physicals are valid through all seasons of the following school year.
