After School Program Saved!
Good news! The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors released their updated budget proposal for FY2026, and it includes full funding for Middle School After School and Summer Learning programs. The Board needs to vote on the budget next week, and then it will be official.
Below is the language released by the committee:
The greatest concern that we heard from the community was the impact that the proposed programmatic reductions would have on services provided by County agencies in support of FCPS. Chief among those was Middle School After School (MSAS), a program that our students enjoy and that many families rely upon for supervised after-school care. It became clear during our deliberations on the budget that the program is worth preserving, though changes could be made to reduce costs. MSAS will be fully funded for the 2025-26 school year at $3.93 million, and County and Schools staff will work together to propose changes to the program, including development of a fee model that will consider ability to pay.

8th Grade Celebration- Tickets Now Available and Volunteers Needed!
Calling all 8th Graders! It’s time to take flight! Join us for a night of games, dancing and food as we celebrate YOU! The 8th grade celebration will be held on June 6th from 6-8:30 PM at Frost Middle School. This fun event will include dancing, axe throwing, skee ball, foosball, pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, desserts and drinks! Tickets are $25 and you can purchase them here.
Parents, we need your help to make this celebration a success! Please consider signing up to bring desserts or drinks and/or to volunteer at the event. You can sign up to donate food items here, and you can sign up to volunteer at the event here.

Graduation Yard Signs
If you ordered a graduation yard sign, they are available for pick up at the front office. You can pick them up any time before 4 PM on school days.

PTA Board Member Nominations
Calling all Future Board Members! Are you interested in serving on the Frost PTA Board next year?! We are looking to fill the positions of Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. As a Board Member, you’ll have a front row seat in helping to shape the PTA’s priorities and events and will be making a valuable contribution to your kids and the greater Frost community. Prospective Board members will be nominated at the next general meeting on April 24 and elections will occur at the general meeting on May 20. Join the PTA Today!
Thank you to many who joined and others who stepped up to volunteer. As we embark on another exciting school year, we invite you to make a difference for our students and teachers at Frost Middle School through Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) membership.
PTA Family Memberships are $25. Funds from PTA memberships and donations are used in support of the Frost PTA initiatives, including our staff Grant Program. Your dollars will go directly to programs that enrich the experience of students, families, and staff here at Frost. A family membership also includes access to the Frost online student directory. Every parent/guardian who signs up for PTA membership automatically gets included in the student directory, unless you choose to opt your student out.
