 Hello Mustangs,
We are truly excited to be in May. The school year has been awesome thus far, and as we transition to the end of the school year, we would like to share some vital information. As we prepare for the 8th-grade dance on May 30, please remember that eligibility requires good standing in attendance (no excessive tardies, cuts, or absences), behavior (no suspensions), and having all fees paid. Also, we are temporarily adjusting restroom use to utilize specific restrooms during lunch due to increased misuse. Additionally, SOL testing kicks off next week, so please make sure your student is present and has a fully charged laptop each day. Lastly, attendance will be taken on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 11, 2025. If your child is going to be absent on June 11, 2025, please contact your child’s school in advance at 703-690-5555 or southcountymiddle.attendance@fcps.edu. As always, thank you for all you do and your cooperation in making these last few weeks successful. Please contact us to share any feedback, questions, or concerns, and we will assist you as much as possible. Enjoy your weekend, and we will see everyone on Monday.
Justin Simmons | Principal | South County Middle School
