Dear Terraset Families,

Next week, May 5th - May 9th, we will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Week. There are many ways our Tiger Family can show their appreciation for our incredibly talented teachers and staff:  write a thank you note, create a personalized card, or draw a picture! Our staff works very hard to ensure our Tigers have the absolute best experience possible every single day, let’s show them how much we appreciate them!!

Isn’t it hard to believe that we are so close to the end of the 2024-2025 school year? As we head into these final weeks of the year, we’d like to thank each of you for sharing your children with us, for your partnership, and for the incredible spirit of community and support you demonstrate each day.

Terraset ES truly is such an outstanding school because of you, our students, our teachers, staff, and our incredible community.  THANK YOU.

Warmly,

Katie Aldridge, Principal

Dave Ickowski, Assistant Principal

💻SOL Testing

Students in grades 3–6 will take Virginia’s Standards of Learning (SOL) tests beginning in May. These assessments are an opportunity for students to show what they’ve learned throughout the year—and we’re so proud of their effort!

    • Math: May 12

  • 4th Grade

Help your child feel prepared with these simple tips:

  • Make sure they get a good night’s sleep before testing days.

  • Eat a healthy breakfast each morning.

  • Arrive at school on time to start the day feeling calm and ready.

  • Let us know if your child will be absent or late so we can plan accordingly.

Thank you for your support as we encourage every student to do their best!

🚴🏼May 7 Is Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day

Terraset will be participating in Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day on Wednesday, May 7. Make sure that your child wears a helmet if biking or riding, and that younger students have an adult with them. Be safe - use sidewalks and crosswalks to get to school. Get together with your neighbors and walk or bike together! Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Day helps encourage physical activity and promote safe routes to school. Bike racks are available at Doors 5 and 6. We will meet at Door 5 for giveaways and we will take a picture with a principal at 9:05 am.
