Kings Park ES: Ten Points of Pride

At Kings Park Elementary School, we take pride in the unique programs, dedicated staff, and strong sense of community that make our school a special place to learn and grow. Each week, we'll highlight one of our "10 Points of Pride" to celebrate what makes Kings Park exceptional!

Student Leadership

Our students are empowered to take an active role in our school community and in their future! We have a variety of student leadership opportunities, including Cub Council, Cub Patrols, Get2Green, and our TV station KPOV (Kids' Point of View). We focus on future readiness through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) and career connections, focus on critical thinking, Strategies & STEAM labs, Career Day, and more.

Thank you to our families who attended open Library/STEAM and Strategies lab this week.

Congratulations to Assistant Principal, Mrs. Maura Donahue!

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Donahue on her proomotion. As of July 1, 2025, Mrs. Donahue will be the new princpal of Cherry Run ES. We are excited for her expanded impact on FCPS and our broader community. KPES will interview and select our newest AP prior to the start of the 25-26 school year.
