Kings Park ES: Ten Points of Pride
At Kings Park Elementary School, we take pride in the unique programs, dedicated staff, and strong sense of community that make our school a special place to learn and grow. Each week, we'll highlight one of our "10 Points of Pride" to celebrate what makes Kings Park exceptional!
Together We Grow
The Kings Park Elementary School motto is “Together We Grow” because we believe that every member of our community can make a positive difference in a child’s primary school experience! We also partner with neighboring Lake Braddock Secondary School for the Bruin Buddy program which links Kings Park students with teen mentors.
Celebrate Earth Day!
We will continue to celebrate Earth Week with a few more spirit days.
Wednesday: Zero Waste Day- wear white
Thursday: Climate Change Day- wear red
Friday: Wildlife Day- wear a nature pattern or a shirt with an animal

Fairfax County Park Authority's Earth Day Festival will be held Saturday, April 26 from 10am-4pm at the Sully Historic Site. The festival will include earth and nature-focused programs, scavenger hunts, and more.

Family Input for Class Placements 2025-2026
As we begin to plan for the 2025-2026 school year, we are inviting your input. Creating class assignments requires careful consideration and the involvement of many perspectives. We know a good teacher-student match and a productive mix of children are ingredients for success. Should you have additional information about your specific child that school staff may not know, particularly regarding learning style and classroom environment; we ask that you please complete the Family Input Form no later than Monday, May 2, 2025. If you have more than one child attending KPES, please complete one form per child.
We ask that you do not request specific teachers or friendship pairings and keep the information shared about your child and the type of learning environment you feel would be the most productive for him/her/them. We assure you that with or without a form, each child’s strengths and needs are considered. As in the past, families will receive class placement notification just prior to school starting.

FCPS Calendar
PTA News
Our free Earth Day is today April 22nd at KPES from 6-7:30PM and is open to all KP and KG students and families! We'll have free crafts and activities for students, and food trucks for dinner (for purchase)! The event will start off at 5PM with a community clean-up at Kings Park ES.
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up from May 4-9 and we will be celebrating the wonderful staff at both Kings Park and Kings Glen. Our theme is “In Our Staff Appreciation Era” and we are in need of food donations as well as volunteers to help with the daily events all week long. Please use this sign up genius to sign up for a slot. Also, if your student would like to make friendship bracelets for the staff, you can still sign up and drop them off by April 25th.
Mark your calendars: our super popular PTA Kickball Game and End of Year event is coming up at Kings Park on May 16th. More details to follow.
Join us for a thrilling night of soccer at Audi Field on June 7th as Kings Park and Kings Glen come together to support DC United! Tickets start at just $30, and by using this special link, you guarantee you'll be sitting with other KP/KG families for the game.
