PTA Updates for April 10th
THE RUN-A-THON FUNDRAISING IS STILL GOING!
 Let’s go, Dragons! As of Tuesday, we are a little over a thousand dollars away from our goal! If we raise the full $20,000, then the Dranesville administration staff will dress up in inflatable costumes for a day! We know the kiddos want to see that happen! And remember that the class in each grade that raises the most money will earn a pizza party!

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK IS COMING SOON!
Are you a secret artist? Have a hidden scrapbooking talent? We are looking for volunteers to make BIG, clever and creative posters of positivity to BUILD up our staff with LOADS of praise for Staff Appreciation Week 2025. SAVE THE DATE! SCIENCE NIGHT - MAY 15th!
Science Night is coming to school on Thursday, May 15th! This fun-filled night will include Herndon Robotics, hands-on science experiments, engineering challenges, art activities and more! All students will have the opportunity to get their science night passport stamped and win prizes!
Date: Thursday, May 15, 2025
Time: Activities will run from 6 – 8 p.m.
Location: Dranesville Elementary School
6TH GRADE CARNIVAL!
Our 6th graders are moving onto middle school next year, and we’d love to give them a memorable celebration and send-off! This party is funded by generous donations from our community. With your support, we’ll be able to provide food, entertainment, games and t-shirts!
Every contribution, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us make this milestone special for our students!

SHARKEY’S CUTS FOR KIDS SPECIAL FOR APRIL!
We’re excited to announce that Sharkey's Cuts for Kids in Sterling will be sponsoring our 6th Grade Celebration! In addition, they’re offering a special deal for Dranesville students throughout the month of April. Not only will you receive $3 off your next haircut, but Sharkey's will also donate $2 to our PTA!
