PTA Meeting and Social Scheduled April 24th
Mark your calendars! The next Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting is set for April 24th at 6pm in person at Frost Middle School. This will be the first in-person meeting in quite some time, following an extended period of virtual meetings. The meeting will last for 90 minutes and will be followed by a potluck dessert social. Please plan to bring a dessert to share.
Key Highlights of the Meeting:

In Person Interaction: After numerous virtual sessions, this meeting marks a return to face-to-face interaction, providing a valuable opportunity for parents, teachers and students to connect directly.

Student Participation: For the first time ever, students will participate in the PTA meeting as observers. This exciting development emphasizes the importance of student voices in shaping school initiatives and policies.

PTSA Conversion Vote: Attendees will vote on converting the PTA into a Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA), further integrating student involvement into the organization’s framework.

Meet School Leaders: Participants will have the chance to interact with school administration, fostering communication and collaboration between the school and its stakeholders.

Guest Speakers: Two guest speakers will address topics of high interest to parents and students, providing valuable insights and information.

Dessert Mixer: The meeting will be followed by a potluck dessert social time. Please plan to bring a dessert to share.

Save the After School Program
Please consider signing these petitions to save the after school program! There is a petition created by students for students to sign, as well as one for parents:

Add your Testimony: In addition to signing the petition, parents and students are encouraged to share their stories about what the after school program means to them. It is really easy to participate and for those who do not want to speak, they can submit written testimony or send an email with their story to their Supervisor. All Frost community members are invited to the Celebration of Completion Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the Capital Improvement Project at Frost Middle School. The event will take place at Frost Middle School on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10-11AM. This event marks a significant milestone in enhancing the learning environment for our students and reflects our shared commitment to providing high-quality educational facilities. Congratulations to the school on this significant achievement!

PTA Board Member Nominations
Calling all Future Board Members! Are you interested in serving on the Frost PTA Board next year?! We are looking to fill the positions of Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. As a Board Member, you’ll have a front row seat in helping to shape the PTA’s priorities and events and will be making a valuable contribution to your kids and the greater Frost community. Prospective Board members will be nominated at the next general meeting on April 24 and elections will occur at the general meeting on May 20. Bingo Night
Thank you to everyone who came out to Bingo Night! We had an incredible turnout, and it was great to see our community come together for a fun night. The funds we raised for the PTA allow us to continue putting on events like this and supporting our community in many other ways.

8th Grade Celebration
Save the date for the 8th grade celebration, which will be held the evening of June 6th! This event will be the only graduation celebration for our rising 9th graders, and gives them a chance to gather to commemorate their middle school experience. We will need a lot of help, so please consider whether you will be able to volunteer to help at the event. Look for more details to come soon!

Join the PTA Today!
Thank you to many who joined and others who stepped up to volunteer. As we embark on another exciting school year, we invite you to make a difference for our students and teachers at Frost Middle School through Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) membership.
PTA Family Memberships are $25. Funds from PTA memberships and donations are used in support of the Frost PTA initiatives, including our staff Grant Program. Your dollars will go directly to programs that enrich the experience of students, families, and staff here at Frost. A family membership also includes access to the Frost online student directory. Every parent/guardian who signs up for PTA membership automatically gets included in the student directory, unless you choose to opt your student out.
