DETAILS ON UPCOMING EVENTS
Purple Up! Day
Longfellow Middle School Learning Community show your support for all our military-connected families. We are inviting all Longfellow students, families, employees, and community members to “Purple Up!” on Wednesday, April 9, for military children. Wearing purple is a visible way for everyone to show support and thanks to military connected students and families for their strength and sacrifices.
Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military as a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and Space Force blue.
Visit the FCPS Military Families webpage and sign up to receive the Military Families newsletter for additional information on military connected families. Follow our FCPS Military Families accounts on Facebook and Instagram for support and resources throughout the year. If you have any questions, please email our Family and School Partnerships Team or the Longfellow Middle School Military Connected Families Liaison, Bruce Walker at bmwalker@fcps.edu.
