Third Quarter Student Attendance Summary- Coming Soon!

We want to thank you for all your support in getting your students to school. As of Friday, April 4, our chronic absenteeism rate is now at 8.5%! While our rate has dropped significantly, with spring break and testing season around the corner, we will again be sending out a personalized Attendance Summary to each student and family.  We recognize that there are a variety of reasons that students are absent, and this summary will be for informational purposes only.

We appreciate your partnership in prioritizing regular school attendance.  Please reach out to your student’s counselor or visit this FCPS resource on Encouraging School Attendance if you need additional support.

SOL Test Notification

Mrs. Frate, our assessment coach, sent an email on Thursday, 4/3, to all ninth through eleventh grade students and the enrolling parent/guardian to inform families about upcoming SOL testing. Only seniors and their families who are scheduled for an SOL received an email.

Students who are not scheduled for an SOL will be assigned to a study hall or have the option to come in after our testing block (at 11:15) on May 20 and 21. Prearranged late arrival forms are due to the attendance office by April 30 and can be found here

Detailed information about SOLs is available on the Madison website.

Volunteers Needed for AP Testing

Our Student Services Department needs parent volunteers to help monitor AP exams. AP exams will occur May 5-9 and May 12-16 during both morning (7:45am-12:15pm) and afternoon (12-4pm) blocks.
