 SOL testing is starting this month with the 5th Grade Integrated Reading and Writing Test. The majority of the SOL testing will take place in the month of May for students in grades 3-6. The SOL assessments are content assessments that measure a student's growth in Reading, Mathematics, and Science (5th grade only). These tests will be administered on the dates listed e above. Please mark your calendar - it is important that your child attend school on the dates designated for them to test.

Overdue Library Books
Need help making your spring break cleaning adventurous? It’s a great time to go on a scavenger hunt! We have over 900 overdue library books at the OES library.
The question you might have is, “How can I find out what books my child has overdue?” and the answer is easy - Check Destiny!
You can follow the direct link above, or follow these instructions:
- In your child’s Schoology account, find the OES Library under COURSES. If the OES library is not on their dashboard, just click on the MY COURSES tab at the top right, scroll to the bottom looking for- Library, Oakton Elementary School.
- There’s a link to Destiny at the top of the Library Schoology page. Click it.
- Once in Destiny, sign to your child’s account on the top right corner using the arrow and door icon. When prompted to use log in credentials, click the blue bar that says “Sign in with Google.”
- Once in the account, click MY STUFF and CHECKOUTS.
