Message from Mrs. Briggs
Dear Panther Families,
What an exciting and memorable week it has been! Our students have shone brightly in a variety of ways, showcasing their talents, spirit, and support for one another. Last Friday, our sixth graders faced off against Churchill Road ES for two fantastic basketball games. Wednesday was a sea of purple as we proudly participated in Purple Up Day to show our support and appreciation for our incredible military families. Our fourth-grade students captivated us with their wonderful musical performance and Bingo Night was a huge success on Thursday evening with many happy families gathering together over food and fun. Lastly, we wrapped up the week with our annual Talent Show, and what a spectacular showcase of the diverse talents within our Panther community!
As the school week comes to a close, we are all looking forward to a restful and rejuvenating Spring Break! We have accomplished so much together, and we are incredibly proud of our Panther community.
We wish you all a safe, happy, and enjoyable Spring Break. We look forward to welcoming our students back on April 21st, refreshed and ready for the final stretch of the school year!
Sincerely,
Amy Briggs

FCPS News
Excellence Is at a Crossroads
Fairfax County residents believe in the value of a strong public school system. Residents live here because of the excellence of Fairfax County Public Schools, even our community members with grown children. Excellence in FCPS comes from its people — dedicated teachers and support staff who make sure that our students are ready to learn. Today, that excellence is at a crossroads.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors will finalize the budget on Tuesday, May 6, and the current advertised budget underfunds FCPS by $150 million.
Now is the time. Do we want continued excellence, or are we ready to consider cuts to important programs that we have come to expect from FCPS?
