Last Day for PTSA Prom Boutique Donations -

  Wednesday, April 9!

McLean High School PTSA is pleased to announce a partnership with Northwood High School PTSA for a Prom Boutique collection. Your generous donation of gently-used formal dresses, tuxedos, or costume jewelry will help give Northwood students a Prom night to remember!

Northwood, home of the Gladiators, is in Silver Spring, and has the highest Free and Reduced Meal (FARMs) rate of any high school in Montgomery County. Many students and families supported by the Northwood PTSA struggle to pay for Prom.

Northwood students will have the chance to shop in the Boutique, purchasing Prom outfits for just $5 - all proceeds will help fund next year's Boutique, and no student will be turned away for lack of funds. MHS-PTSA is proud to help sponsor this event.

Please drop your donations off at the collection bin in the McLean High School front office no later than Wednesday, April 9th.

Thank you for your support!

Helping Out Students after School This Quarter

The Humanitas4All HumScouts After School Program is an online program dedicated to helping elementary school students stay on track with learning during the virtual school term. We are aiming to serve all students in Northern Virginia, especially supporting students from low-income backgrounds and/or Title I schools.

The goal of this program is to provide homework help, fun activities, positive character development, and support to young students and their families. Sessions will occur after school via Google Meet. When you sign up to become a mentor, you will have to stay as a mentor for the entire school quarter.

As a mentor, you must prepare lessons and activities to do with the kids. More details will be sent to those who fill out this form.

Note: Mentors can receive service hours.

Please email humscouts@humanitas4all.org for any questions.
