National Assistant Principal Week
This week is National Assistant Principal Week. Thank you to Mr. McCartney and Mrs. Timm for their hard work and the individual care they give to each student. Please consider taking a moment to reach out and share your appreciation with them.

Join PTA Board for the 2025-2026 School Year
We are looking to fill several PTA board positions for next school year.
VP of Membership: Foster parent engagement and promote participation in the PTA community. Lead the PTA's membership strategy to support annual goals and grow a strong, inclusive community.
VP of STEM: Coordinate and lead the STEM Committee, overseeing extracurricular STEM activities such as Family Science Night and competitive clubs including LEGO League, Odyssey of the Mind, MathCounts, and Science Olympiad.
VP of Arts & Performance: Manage and coordinate the committees and volunteers for arts and performances including Chalk for Peace, Original Works, school play/musical, and yearbook.

Hunters Woods 6th Grade and Staff Basketball Challenge
Please join us for a night of student and staff basketball scrimmages, school spirit, raffles, music, food, and fun!

Raffle Donations
Themed Baskets will be raffled off this year at the PTA Sponsored All School Spirit Night - 6th Grade Basketball Game on May 9th to support the 6th-grade end-of-year celebration.
We need your help collecting items to make these baskets amazing!
This year's baskets have some amazing themes: Shark Tank, Summer Fun, Host(ess) with the Mostess, Craft Corner, Rainy Day, and the always popular Gift Card basket.
PTA Gift Basket Donation Items can be dropped off at the Front Office or brought in with your child through Monday, April 28th.

For the gift card basket, feel free to buy your favorite gift cards to send in (those are not included on the wish list).

Donations Needed
Food 4 Thought is a PTA-sponsored initiative to help students in need with healthy, shelf-stable food for the weekends and school-day snacks.
Donate: We urgently need single-serve, shelf stable white milk and single-serve snacks (granola bars, pretzels, etc). Check out our Amazon wish list.
Volunteer: Help deliver food bags and snacks to classrooms on Fridays from 8-8:30am. Volunteers needed now through the end of the school year. Sign up here.

Youth Wrestling Camp at Oakton High School
Whether you are interested in trying out a sport new to you, or have wrestling experience, there is a spot for you at camp! The Oakton Wrestling Teams are hosting a summer camp for rising 3rd-9th grade boys AND girls the week of July 7-11, 9am - 3pm.

Attend a Community Preview of Once Upon A Mattress at South Lakes High School
Join South Lakes High School for a community preview of their upcoming show Once Upon A Mattress. This community preview will be geared toward younger audiences and includes themed coloring with the ladies-in-waiting and knights prior to the show and a meet-and-greet with characters after the show.
