The spring chorus concert was a joy for students, parents, and staff.

Chorus Concert

Our Willow Springs Chorus had their Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 8th. Both 5th and 6th Grade choirs performed a concert during the day for grades 2,3,4, and one in the evening for families. The students performed a wide variety of songs including folk songs in different languages, a spiritual, a song about the Northern lights, and a song from the musical “Hamilton.”  Congratulations to the Chorus on a great concert!!!

We’d like to congratulate the 6th grade students who represented Willow Springs at this year’s All-County Choral Festival.

All County Choral Festival

We’d like to congratulate the 6th grade students who represented Willow Springs at this year’s All-County Choral Festival. The students were selected by audition and then worked hard over several months to prepare challenging music. The festival was March 28 and 29 at Mount Vernon High School and featured over 800 singers from around the county. They presented a fantastic concert on Saturday. Our students did an amazing job representing Willow Springs!

SOL

Spring 2025 SOL Testing Calendar

As you plan your spring and summer activities and travel, please keep in mind that our 3rd - 6th grade students will be taking standardized tests (SOLs) in May and June.

If you can avoid traveling or appointments that will keep your child out of school on a scheduled testing date, that would be greatly appreciated and will benefit your child.

Students tend to prefer taking these tests in their classrooms and learning spaces with their peers and their usual teachers. When students are absent on a testing day, they are eligible for a makeup opportunity, but the makeup test will be given by any available staff, and it will not take place in the classroom.

The testing dates are listed below, and the testing calendar is linked here. Please know the schedule is subject to change.

May 1: 6th grade SOL Reading test

May 2: 5th grade SOL Reading test

May 5: 4th grade SOL Reading test
