6th Grade Basketball Game

Dear Churchill Road families,

What a busy week as we head into Spring Break  Our 6th grade boys and girls played against Spring Hill 6th graders last Friday – what fun to see so many Churchill families coming out for the game.  Many thanks to the PTA and Churchill Road staff members who supported this endeavor.

  • Kindergarten orientation for the Class of 2032 is this week!
  • Our first graders will perform their musical “How Does Your Garden Grow”.
  • We will all celebrate our military-connected families with Purple-Up Day on April 9.  Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military as a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and Space Force blue.

April and May promise to be busy with many events.  Our students will be performing their spring concerts, taking SOLs and culminating learning experiences with field trips. From the Color Fun Run on April 25 to Family STEAM Night on May 9 and the ever-popular Backyard BBQ on May 30, we hope to see many of you.

Have a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Pierson-Barr

Students can explore books highlighting military life in our library's special display, learn about MOMC on our school news broadcast featuring interviews with military students, and a display honoring their peers in the front lobby. Join us in wearing purple on Wednesday, April 9th for Purple Up! Day, and military-connected students.

Character Strengths Focus

The next character strength our school community is focusing on is Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence.

Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence means noticing and valuing the world's beauty and people's skills and not taking things for granted.

To practice and encourage the character strengths with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2), where together you will watch a video, read a quote, and talk about the answers to three questions about these character strengths.

Lost and Found Update

The Lost and Found has been relocated to the hallway outside the cafeteria! Parents, feel free to sign in at the front office with a valid ID and look through it.

The Lost and Found will still be put outside the lobby at the end of each quarter.
