April 4- News and Notes!
Rolling Valley Families,
We hope you enjoyed the long weekend! Even though it was a short week, we made the most of it. One of the highlights was our 5th graders taking a field trip to Baltimore, where they had a great time exploring the Aquarium and Science Center.
Looking ahead to next week, we’ll be celebrating Spirit Week in honor of our military-connected students. Please see below for the list of optional spirit days for those who wish to participate.
We also have a virtual PTA meeting scheduled for next week. The meeting link will be sent out on Monday, April 7 ahead of the meeting.
Next week also marks the final week before Spring Break! Make sure to mark your calendars!
Have a great weekend!

Family Input for Class Placements 2025-2026
As we begin planning for the 2025-2026 school year, we value and welcome your input. Creating class assignments is a thoughtful process that involves multiple perspectives to ensure a positive learning environment for all students. We recognize that a strong teacher-student match and a well-balanced class dynamic contribute to student success.
If there is additional information about your child—particularly regarding their learning style and the classroom environment in which they thrive—that you feel would be helpful for our staff to know, please complete the Family Input Form no later than Monday, May 2, 2025. If you have more than one child attending RVES, please submit a separate form for each child.
While we do not accept requests for specific teachers or friendship pairings, we encourage you to share insights about your child's needs and the type of learning environment that would be most beneficial for them. Please know that even without a form, our team carefully considers each child’s strengths and needs when making placement decisions. As in previous years, families will receive class placement notifications just before the start of the school year.

Thank you for your partnership and support in this process!
