Second grade Market Day was a huge success! Students worked hard to plan, create, advertise, and sell products to first grade consumers. Many students worked together during this process and strengthened their Portrait of a Graduate (POG) skills as communicators and collaborators.

Calling All 6th Graders!!
The 6th Grade Panoramic Photo will be taken on Tuesday, April 8th at 10:30am. **Students are asked to wear their 6th grade t-shirts. If they can’t find it, have them wear any GBW green t-shirts.**
Panoramic photos can be purchased for $17 in two ways:
- In advance at Lifetouch using Picture Day ID: MJ084053T0
-then fill out the order form envelope (in your child’s Thursday folder) with the online payment code and return it to the homeroom teacher on April 8th.

Your voice matters, and Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid wants to hear from you! This spring, a series of Community Conversations will be held across the school division. These events are an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ask questions regarding FCPS. Events are planned for the following dates from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.:

Birthday Treats:
Students are not permitted to bring edible treats into school to celebrate their birthdays. Birthdays will be recognized in the classroom in a special way (morning message, crowns, extra recess, pencil/card, etc.).
Birthday Invitations:
Students can only hand out birthday invites if the whole class is invited. If not, they can't bring them to school.
Parents Requesting Contact Information:
For parents requesting contact information, teachers can email families asking if they give permission to share their contact information with other families. If a family does not give clear permission, teachers can’t share their contact information.

Advanced Academics Orientation Wednesday, April 9th
6:00-7:00pm
We invite you to attend our advanced academic program orientation on Wednesday, April 9th from 6:00-7:00pm in the school gym.
This session is for parents of students who have been found eligible for full-time advanced academic services and are deciding which program their child will attend next year. The content will be geared towards parents; however, students may attend and sit with their parent for the duration of the event.

Ms. Mull and Ms. Kennedy will be hosting three week-long art camps this summer at Chantilly HS.
Camp is for rising 3rd-8th graders and students will be grouped by age.
Each week, students will explore a variety of sculpture, painting, drawing, and mixed media projects.
Can’t wait to create art with you this summer!
