PTA Updates for March 27th
THE RUN-A-THON IS NEXT WEEK!
This year’s Run-A-Thon fundraiser began March 13th, and donations will be collected through Friday, April 11th. Run dates for this year’s fundraiser will be Thursday, April 3rd and Friday, April 4th. Save the dates and keep an eye out for a volunteer signup.

RUN-A-THON POSTER RAFFLE!
Any student who brings a poster promoting the Run-a-thon to school by Friday, March 28th (TOMORROW!) will be entered into a raffle for 4 movie passes to Look theatres.
WEEKEND FUNDRAISING RAFFLE!
Anyone who raises money this weekend will be entered into a raffle to win a 10-visit pass to the Herndon Community Center!
Calling all KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES! April is your month to treat the staff to breakfast for their monthly meeting. This month we’d like to treat the staff to a Muffin Madness breakfast. Last month asking for donations went so well, we’d like to make it easy for you! Any monetary donations starting at $1 will go directly toward purchasing a variety of breakfast treats for our amazing staff. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference! Thank you for helping us show our appreciation!

6TH GRADE CARNIVAL!
Our 6th graders are moving onto middle school next year, and we’d love to give them a memorable celebration and send-off! This party is funded by generous donations from our community. With your support, we’ll be able to provide food, entertainment, games and t-shirts!

SHARKEY’S CUTS FOR KIDS SPECIAL FOR APRIL!
We’re excited to announce that Sharkey's Cuts for Kids in Sterling will be sponsoring our 6th Grade Celebration! In addition, they’re offering a special deal for Dranesville students throughout the month of April. Not only will you receive $3 off your next haircut, but Sharkey's will also donate $2 to our PTA! Dragon Runners Spring 2025 starts Tuesday, March 18th
The Dragon Runners Group is a running program designed for 3rd-6th graders. This is an exciting program that is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running.

Chess Club with Silver Knights Academy (formerly Magnus Chess)
Fun is the name of the game...but Silver Knights Chess Academy (formerly Magnus Chess Academy) also sneaks in a bit of critical thinking, sportsmanship, and patience into chess club! Each week students of all levels do a fun but challenging lesson with one of our great coaches from our world class curriculum followed by practice games against other students in the class.
