Student Intention Form for the Next School Year
We have reached the 4th Quarter of school and the final stretch toward completion of the 24-25 school year.
In planning for the next school year, parents/guardians are asked to complete the Student Intention form to let us know if your student will or will not return to Deer Park next year and if not, where they will be attending school. Please complete the intention form and return to your child's teacher or the school office.
Parents are invited to complete the Parent Input Form 2025-2026 to assist with the best class placement for your child. We ask input on how your child best learns and any special considerations when placing students in classrooms. This input form is optional.

Month of the Military Child
💜April is the Month of the Military Child! Every year we take the opportunity to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community. Fairfax County Public Schools is proud to have over 14,000 military-connected youth as a part of our student body. We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community, and recognize their strength and resilience.
Thank you to all our students & their families who serve. We are grateful for your contributions to our classrooms and our nation.

To show our support for all our military-connected families, we are inviting all Fairfax County students, families, school employees, and community members to “Purple Up!” on April 9 for military children. Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military as a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force and Space Force blue.

Summer Extravaganza
- ☀️ Save the Date for the FCPS Summer Extravaganza
Discover summer learning and activities available in Fairfax County!
Attend the FCPS Summer Extravaganza on Saturday, May 10, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at Woodson High School and get a jump on summer learning. At this free event, participants can engage in educational and enrichment activities designed to inspire curiosity and growth.
Activities will include student performances, story time, a moon bounce, and face painting. For more information, visit the Summer Extravaganza webpage.

Cheer Squad
Cheer-IT with Spir-IT Cheerleading & Jump Rope
Rope Motion creates Emotion! Take your spirit to a higher level! Learn routines, cheers, motions and jumps that promote teamwork, fitness and FUN. We'll work on basic cheer and dance movements that have participants smiling from ear to ear and bouncing from head to toe! We bring the sidelines to center stage with cheers that include: “Who Rocks the House”, “G-O Deer Park GO”, “Dynamite”, and many more. Our pyramid of activity will include cheers, routines, jump roping, and warm up games. Come be a part of something bigger, sign up today!

OTA Summer Camp Pass
Overtime Athletics Summer Camp Pass is back to allow you the MOST flexibility and LOWEST prices that you can find in the Northern Virginia Camp scene! Just choose how many weeks of camp you would like to join us for this summer and reserve your spot today. These can be used for any of our traditional day camps (and you don’t even have to choose just one!). All Families will receive an email from the OTA Team in February for final week/location selection. Any Add-ons may be purchased at this point.
