Good afternoon Fox Mill Families,
We are racing to the finish line of the third quarter. As you can expect, the fourth quarter will be filled with academic expectations, with students showing their learning on state assessments as well as end of unit assessments and group projects. Please continue to work with your students; by ensuring they are completing required classwork, spending time reading and perfecting the skills they have learned throughout the school year. Most importantly, promote relaxation, positive affirmations and mindful techniques to help students stay focused and calm.
A FEW UPDATES
Kindergarten Orientation

9:30-10:30
Parents/Guardians please join us for an overview of the kindergarten program at Fox Mill ES.
During the orientation, the children will visit the classroom for a small activity.
Please register for the 25-26 school year online. Please use the following link to learn about the registration process and complete registration. No registrations will take place on kindergarten orientation day. https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/registration
What is Online Registration (OLR)?
Online Registration is a self-service registration portal for parents to electronically submit a registration packet to their zoned school or the registration office for review. Parents will be able to upload documents needed to register their child. School and/or registration office staff will receive and review the packet and contact the parent to schedule an in-person appointment to finalize the child’s registration.
- Parents must bring the following documentation to the in-person appointment:
- Your child’s original birth certificate. (School staff will check the birth date, copy and return the original certificate to you)
- A copy of your residence lease or deed/deed of trust. (Please bring this documentation even if you already have a child enrolled at Fox Mill.)
- Parent’s valid photo ID/driver’s license
- School physical/immunization record - Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form. (Physical and immunizations records— [Note: All children entering school for the first time will need a physical and up-to-date immunization records before they are allowed to begin school. A physical must have been completed within 12 months prior to the first day the child enters school. Children must be five years old by September 30, 2025.])
School physicals/immunizations need to be submitted before school starts. Your child may not start school without this document.
