In this Paw Print:
Dear Poplar Tree Families,
This week our 3rd - 6th graders had a visit from author W. Bruce Cameron! Cameron writes many books about dogs, so he shared with our students his love for dogs and was accompanied by Daisy, a service dog!. He also told them what it's like to write a film script. He gave them some great advice: in order to succeed, you first have to be willing to fail. Thank you to Ms. Riddile for organizing this Author Visit - our students had a great time!
Have a great weekend!

🫵🏼 We Need You for the PTES PTA Board 🫵🏼
We need your help to continue to have a strong and active PTA next year. Without a board, our PTA will dissolve and our school will no longer have after-school programs, community events, grants to support funding needs, and more.
Check out the PTA website for detailed position descriptions and estimated time commitments. If you have a question about a position, or the PTA board, please email nominations@poplartreepta.org. Submit your nomination by April 22!
The PTA Board develops goals for the PTA, appoints committees, and makes time-sensitive decisions in between regular board meetings to ensure that our students and teachers have the resources and support necessary to thrive. PTA Board volunteers serve our local school community and make real, tangible impacts for our students, parents, and teachers. We champion events like the Panther Prowl, Back-to-School Nights, Spelling Bees, and Science Fairs. We support teacher appreciation events, keep parents informed, and coordinate our room parents and event volunteers. Come join us and make a difference in our school community!
