Dear Wolftrap Families,
Do keep in mind the budget process that is currently occurring. You should have received the most recent update from our school board representative, Ms. Melanie Meren, if you receive her emails. The next steps in the FCPS FY 2026 Budget process include the School Board presenting the budget to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 22, and then the Board of Supervisors will conduct public hearings Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, April 24. Community members can submit testimony or sign up to speak. Visit the county government website to view the Fairfax County FY 2026 Advertised Budget. The community is also invited to complete an online survey to provide feedback on the county’s FY 2026 Advertised Budget. You can learn more about the FCPS FY 2026 Budget process in the link. Please take some time to educate yourself about this important process!
Best,
Dr. Maggie Grove, Principal
Ms. Megan Tipton, Assistant Principal

Wolftrap's official 2024-2025 Yearbook is now on sale through April 9th! Order via MySchoolBucks (https://www.myschoolbucks.com/). For those new to the platform, you will have to create an account, which will link to your student(s) and let you access the Wolftrap School Store to place an order. (Click on browse all items. You may see a past order date, if it is from 2024, it was last school year's order.) Yearbooks will be distributed by the school at the end of the school year. April 9th is an absolute deadline.
For those of you who do not know, our staffing depends on our enrollment. That is why it is important for us to make sure all students who desire to attend Wolftrap register early! Kindergarten registration is open now! Spread the word, especially if you have families in your neighborhood! There’s an easy five-step process for parents wanting to register their child for kindergarten:
- Determine eligibility.
- Identify your local school.
- Gather documents.
- Fill out forms.
- Schedule an appointment.
After the appointment at the school (the student and one guardian must be present), the student will be ready for our spring orientation! Details to come! Read more about the registration process. For additional information, please contact Ms. Caroline Kamel, school registrar.
