Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child (MOMC), a time to honor and celebrate the resilience, courage, and contributions of FCPS military-connected children.
Explore the MOMC Toolkit to assist in planning meaningful recognition of our military-connected students. The toolkit offers a variety of resources, ideas, and activities to celebrate and recognize the selfless service of military-connected students.
Celebrating MOMC also contributes to the efforts required to earn or maintain the Purple Star Designation and supports Dr. Reid’s commitment to FCPS being a Purple Star Division by 2026-27 school year. To learn more about the Purple Star Designation, please contact Katie Server, Family Partnerships Specialist, Military-Connected Youth & Families.
🏖️Spirit Day
Friday, March 28, will be Beach Day! Come to school dressed in your favorite beach wear! Dress must still follow the FCPS dress code.
🧾Kindergarten Registration and Orientation
Do you have a child that is five years old or will be turning five by September 30, 2025? If you do, please register them for Kindergarten at your earliest opportunity. Please complete the registration forms online and make an appointment via SignUp Genius or email La Tesha Scott. You must complete online registration forms before you can make an appointment! Kindergarten registration appointments will start on March 17. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your registration.
We will be holding our Kindergarten Orientation for families and students on April 1 from 10:00-11:30am in the Cafeteria. Please check in at Door #1. During the Orientation, incoming kindergarten families will be able to experience "A Day in the Life of a Kindergartener" and meet the Kindergarten team. We hope you can join us!
2025-2026 Student Intention Forms
Parents, we need your help in projecting our total enrollment for the next school year. For families NOT returning to Timber Lane ES in the fall of 2024-25, please complete the student intention form by May 1, 2025.

Parents, your input is important to us! Please give us any information that will help us provide the right placement for your child! Please complete the parent input form as soon as possible.
