Learning Night was a major success! It was wonderful to see so many families actively engaging in hands-on learning activities with their students. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were truly inspiring as parents, guardians, and children worked together to explore new concepts and skills. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for families to connect with teachers, gain insights into their child's learning experience, and discover fun, effective ways to support their academic growth at home.
Throughout the evening, families participated in interactive stations that showcased strategies for reinforcing literacy, math, and critical thinking skills outside the classroom. The collaboration between teachers and families demonstrated the importance of a strong home-school partnership in fostering student success. We appreciate everyone who attended and look forward to continuing these valuable learning experiences in the future!

Twin/Triplet/Squad Day at Primary
Wow! It was great seeing so many staff members and students participating in Twin/Triplet/Squad Day. The energy and excitement throughout the school were contagious, and it was wonderful to see everyone coming together in the spirit of fun and community. Every Friday leading up to spring break, we are hosting engaging theme days to encourage students to enjoy being in school and to foster a sense of belonging.
Right now, our chronic absenteeism rate is higher than we’d like, and we need your help in bringing it down. Our goal is to reduce it to 9% or lower, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with their peers. Consistent attendance is key to student success, and we appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of being present every day. Let’s work together to make school a place where students want to be!

Welcome New Friends!

Fort Belvoir Primary is excited to welcome our new friends! The First Friends ambassador group is dedicated to making students new to our school feel at home. This group of students represents a diverse range of military backgrounds, with parents serving in all branches of the armed forces. They meet bi-weekly or monthly during lunchtime to greet and engage with new students. Through games and conversations, they highlight the positive experiences they share as military children, creating a sense of community and support for one another.
