 The Alden
Each year, The Alden presents shows through our Music Education Program free of charge for students in Dranesville Tax District #1A (the MCC Tax District Schools).
We have two upcoming events this April & May!
Tutti Frutti Productions: “Underneath a Magical Moon” will take place on April 28th, 2025 at 10am. This production is recommended for grades K-3.
Join us for a enchanting, reimagined story of "Peter Pan," told by Wendy, as we fly into a fantastical world of adventure, where the impossible seems possible and if you close your eyes and believe, you really can make anything happen.
360 ALLSTARS will take place on May 8th at 10am. BMX, basketball, breakdancing, beatboxing, acrobatics, drumming and more! Recommended for grades 5-7 To register, email me back with the number of students and adults as well as the grade level. I will then follow up to get the remainder of the information. Tickets are first come, first served and are very limited. The deadline is 3/26/25
Visit the Lost and Found!
Students are shedding clothes as the weather gets warmer. Our lost and found is filling up and will be donated on March 26th to the coat and winter accessory drive for SHARE of McLean.
CTE Summer Enrichment
We’ve got an engaging summer planned for your students!
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) office will offer two enrichment camps this summer - Tech Adventure Camp and CTE Summer Academy. For details on the activities we have planned, please read below.

Current kindergarten through 5th grade students will explore the exciting program areas in Career and Technical Education (CTE) including Business/Marketing, Family + Consumer Sciences, Health + Medical Sciences, STEAM, and Trades.

Current 6th through 11th grade students will choose 4 classes each week and dive deeper into CTE program areas, develop skills, and explore careers.
We have course options for all CTE program areas. Classes and schedule can be found on our website! Classes offered through CTE Summer Academy are introductory and do not require previous knowledge of the content.
