Calling All Future Longfellow Lancer Families!
Please join us for an informative and engaging Parent & Student Panel on May 15 at 6:30pm in the Cafeteria. You will hear from current Longfellow students and parents that came from Timber Lane. They will share to expect as you transition to 7th grade such as classes, homework, clubs and activities, making new friends, and managing lockers. Parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about resources available to support their child's transition to middle school. This is a fantastic chance to get a head start and ease any anxieties about the exciting journey ahead. We look forward to seeing you there!
🧾Kindergarten Registration and Orientation
Do you have a child that is five years old or will be turning five by September 30, 2025? If you do, please register them for Kindergarten at your earliest opportunity. Please complete the registration forms online and make an appointment via SignUp Genius or email La Tesha Scott. You must complete online registration forms before you can make an appointment! Kindergarten registration appointments will start on March 17. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your registration.
We will be holding our Kindergarten Orientation for families and students on April 1 from 10:00-11:30am in the Cafeteria. Please check in at Door #1. During the Orientation, incoming kindergarten families will be able to experience "A Day in the Life of a Kindergartener" and meet the Kindergarten team. We hope you can join us!
🍴Fasting Kits Available
Thanks to a new program from the Virginia Department of Education, students who are fasting during the school day between February 28 and March 28 can now take school meal kits home at the end of the day. Families will need to fill out a weekly Fasting Meals Request Form for their child or children to receive school meal kits. A separate form must be filled out for each week and each student.
Submit this form by March 17 for week of March 24
2025-2026 Student Intention Forms
Parents, we need your help in projecting our total enrollment for the next school year. For families NOT returning to Timber Lane ES in the fall of 2024-25, please complete the student intention form by May 1, 2025.
2025-2026 Student Class Placement Input
Parents, your input is important to us! Please give us any information that will help us provide the right placement for your child! Please complete the parent input form as soon as possible.
