Dear RRMS PTA Community,
Welcome to the March edition of our RRMS PTA Newsletter! This month, we're focusing on an important issue: the proposed Fairfax County budget for FY 2026 - which eliminates funding for Middle School After-School and the VIP summer program. These programs provide a safe and enriching environment for our students, offering essential opportunities for learning, growth, and community engagement. We must come together to advocate for their continuation.
Here is how to Take Action NOW:
1️⃣ Email the Board of Supervisors – Click here to send a message! Tell them these programs are essential for student safety, academic success, and community support.
2️⃣ Attend the Sully District Budget Town HallDate/Time: Monday, March 10 | 7:00 – 9:00 PMLocation: Rocky Run MS (Lecture Hall)In Attendance: Tell Supervisor Kathy Smith & School Board Member Seema Dixit that cutting these programs is NOT the solution!
If you can’t attend Monday, find another Budget Town Hall near you.
