PTA Updates for March 6th
PTA MEETING - MARCH 12TH
Join us in the Dranesville Library at 7 PM for the monthly PTA meeting! All are welcome! Come to hear about upcoming events and plans for the future.
RUN-A-THON KICKS OFF MARCH 13TH!
This year’s Run-A-Thon fundraiser will kick off on March 13th and collect donations through Friday, April 11th. Students who register online and raise $25 on opening weekend March 13-16 will win a Run-A-Thon T-shirt!
Run dates for this year’s fundraiser will be Thursday, April 3rd and Friday, April 4th. Save the dates and keep an eye out for a volunteer signup.
MARCH BREAKFAST FOR THE STAFF - PI DAY PIE DAY!
Calling all FIRST GRADE FAMILIES! It’s your month to treat the staff to breakfast for their monthly meeting. However this month has a twist - the meeting falls on Friday, 3/14, also known as 3.14 PI DAY! We would like to treat the staff to a delicious array of pies on March 14th and we would love your support to make this special day even sweeter!
Any monetary donations starting at $1 will go directly toward purchasing a variety of pies to spoil our amazing staff. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in making this Pi Day memorable for everyone! Thank you for helping us show our appreciation!

6TH GRADE CARNIVAL PLANNING HAS BEGUN!
Our 6th graders are moving onto middle school next year, and we’d love to give them a memorable celebration and send-off! This party is funded by generous donations from our community. With your support, we’ll be able to provide food, entertainment, games and t-shirts!

PTA BOARD POSITION OPEN FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

SPRING BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS!
Dragon Runners Spring 2025 starts Tuesday, March 18th
The Dragon Runners Group is a running program designed for 3rd-6th graders. This is an exciting program that is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running.

Overtime Athletics: iSpeed Speed & Agility
Take the first step to a faster step! Come join us as we go up and down, left and right, back and forth all the way to the finish line. OTA will implement its signature curriculum for teaching the latest techniques in athletic skill development. This "one stop shop" for improving as a soccer player, basketball player, football player, baseball player, lacrosse player, field hockey player, tennis player, volleyball player, and playground champion will include games, track and field contests, and a field day atmosphere every class! This program will include elements of the Presidential Fitness Challenge and Road Runners Course Program. The only question that will be asked, "Can you beat who you were on the first day, when you play on the last day?

Overtime Athletics: Fast Break Basketball
3-2-1…Swish! Join us for Fast Break Basketball where we’ll “cross-over” between GAME PLAY and skills stations. The games within the game are where we will expose players to HOOPS skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense. Test your abilities having fun scrimmaging or playing games like Dribble Scribble, King of the Court, Hot Shot Shooting, Knock Out, and MORE! Be ready to take that last second shot, make that extra pass, and block that go ahead basket while learning the fundamentals of Basketball and the concepts of teamwork.
