🧺Family Market
Please join Longfellow Middle School Principal Jim Patrick at Timber Lane’s Family Market on March 12 from 4:30-6:00pm in the Cafeteria. Principal Patrick is looking forward to getting to know our families and answer any questions you may have about Longfellow Middle School! Please enter through Door 2.
🧾Kindergarten Registration and Orientation
Do you have a child that is five years old or will be turning five by September 30, 2025? If you do, please register them for Kindergarten at your earliest opportunity. Please complete the registration forms online and make an appointment via SignUp Genius or email La Tesha Scott. You must have the online registration forms completed before you can make an appointment! Kindergarten registration appointments will start on March 17. Please allow 1-2 business days to process your registration.
We will be holding our Kindergarten Orientation for families and students on April 1 from 10:00-11:30am in the Cafeteria. Please check in at Door #1. During the Orientation, incoming kindergarten families will be able to experience "A Day in the Life of a Kindergartener" and meet the Kindergarten team. We hope you can join us!
📅Save the Date! - Family Heritage Night
We will be celebrating the diversity at Timber Lane Elementary during our Family Heritage Night on May 22 from 5:30-7:00pm. Sample foods from around the world, enjoy music and crafts, and celebrate our community.
🍴Fasting Kits Available
Thanks to a new program from the Virginia Department of Education, students who are fasting during the school day between February 28 and March 28 can now take school meal kits home at the end of the day. Families will need to fill out a weekly Fasting Meals Request Form for their child or children to receive school meal kits. A separate form must be filled out for each week and each student.

Family Life Education
Timber Lane K-6 students will be participating in Family Life Education lessons during the week of April 7. If you would like to preview the curriculum or complete an opt-out form for your child, please contact Mrs. Vaccaro. Please reach out to fle@fcps.edu for specific curriculum questions!

Parents, we need your help in projecting our total enrollment for the next school year. For families NOT returning to Timber Lane ES in the fall of 2024-25, please complete the student intention form by May 1, 2025.
