Greetings, Team Langston Hughes:

 

Happy Friday!  KUDOS to Ms. Dewenter and our students on a fine production of Matilda!   In addition, the Read Across America event was a huge success because of our students’ performances and participation.  

Again, Ramadan began last week.  If your child will be using the meditation and silent-reflection space during instructional hours, please complete this permission form. Families may request Fasting Meal Kits from February 28 – March 28. You can learn more about the meal kits here; you must submit a separate request for each week your student will need a kit after school.  For any questions or concerns, please contact our Dean of Students, Ms. Brittanye Mohrbacher, at bsmohrbacher@fcps.edu.

Mark your calendars:  Here are our Standards of Learning (SOL) assessment dates and other important information. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Director of Student Services, Marissa Brooks, at mlbrooks@fcps.edu, or feel free to contact me directly.  

Finally, continue monitoring your child’s attendance and academic progress via ParentVUE and internet usage via Lightspeed.
