Family Liaison Newsletter - Issue 5, March 2025

march

March is a month of exploration – and that includes exploring careers! We're diving into career awareness activities, helping students learn about different jobs and discover how their talents can translate into future careers. Books, videos, and community trips are great ways to explore career options.

Looking for a family acticity? Explore local businesses with your child. Visit a fire station, pet store, or garden center and talk about the jobs people do there. Point out workers and their tasks during family errands, like grocery shopping or visiting the library. Please see this activity that provides ideas for exploring jobs in your community. See this website for career exploration videos that help students learn more about jobs for the future.

Questions?  Please contact Churchill Road Family Liaison, Nisha Bhatia, nbhatia1@fcps.edu, or by calling the front office before 11:00 a.m., Monday-Friday.
