Monday, March 10th is a 3 hour early dismissal at White Oaks. Most of our families have already notified the school about decisions for their children on the early closing days. Please check in with your child's teacher if you would like to verify the plan for Monday 3/10 for your child. The teachers can look up decisions for students who will be staying until the later dismissal time or leaving three hours early based on what parents communicated earlier this year.

Our beloved and very important person, Maureen Roche, our Finance Administrative Assistant is retiring on April 30th, 2025!
Ms. Roche started at White Oaks in 2003 and since that time, she has been here, caring for our whole community and making a positive impact for the lives of students, families and staff. For 22 years, Ms. Roche has served with dedication and care. She knows White Oaks as a parent as well, having had three children come through our school and on to LBSS. Ms. Roche has focused her work on being as supportive as she can and always trying to make things better for everyone. As she anticipates retirement, she is looking forward to spending more time with her husband and children and soon, a new grandchild. She plans to travel and volunteer to support environmental improvement efforts. Ms. Roche shared that she will miss the people she has come to love and care for, and we will miss her too!

My name is Rosario Carrasco and I was born in Bolivia, South America. I moved to the United States of America 22 years ago.
I have 2 children who graduated from Fairfax County Public Schools and are now pursuing an education at Virginia Commonwealth University.
I worked as a Family Liaison for 14 years as well as had the privilege of serving in six different schools across the elementary, middle and high school levels.
Throughout this journey, I gained valuable insights from various programs along with communities.
I collaborated with different departments that support students as well as their families. During that time I helped to bridge connections between families, school and resources.
I am thrilled to embark on a new chapter at White Oaks ES, where I look forward to serving our community with dedication and commitment.
