We Our Bus Drivers
February is Love the Bus Month and February 22nd is recognized as Bus Driver Appreciation Day! On February 21st in honor of Bus Driver Appreciation Day, the PTA provided our wonderful bus drivers with some special treats! We are so thankful for the wonderful team of drivers that safely shuttle our children to and from school each day.
We would love for you to show your bus driver how much you appreciate them too! Please have your students write a card or note to their driver to thank them for all they do! Hand the card to the driver anytime! It’s never too late to show your appreciation! Thank you so much!
Book Fair THANK YOU!
Thank you for making the PTA’s Scholastic Book Fair the best week ever! We’re so grateful for all the support from families, teachers, and staff, which allowed our sales to total over $20,000.
The Co-Chairs wish to extend a special thanks to the following people:
- Parents who visited to shop with their children and those who volunteered as cashiers and shopping helpers.
- Families who contributed to the Teacher Wishlist fund and purchased books for teachers.
- The Girl Scouts for their cookie sales table during Family Shopping.

MORE Reflections Contest Results
Great Falls Elementary student Dominick Choi: Received the “Award of Merit” (3rd place) at the Virginia PTA level for his Reflections program photography submission. Prior to state advancement, Dominick was awarded “Outstanding Interpretation” (first place) by Fairfax County PTA level.
He will be recognized at FFCPTA council awards February 28th and at the state award ceremony in Richmond, VA this spring.

Science Olympiad Update
The Science Olympiad Division B team ended their season with a bang! The kids competed on February 15th at Centreville high school and had a lot of fun! We are planning a celebration party for the children for next month. We’re so proud of our team’s hard work!
