Your input is important to us and influences every step of the principal selection process. We invite you to offer your individual, written input regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics needed for North Springfield Elementary School. You may also provide feedback about any challenges or issues that a new principal will need to address upon joining the North Springfield Elementary School community. Below you will see suggestions for input and submission directions. Please be assured that all input is confidential. Please submit your feedback to the Department of Human Resources at HRPrincipalPool@fcps.edu by Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Additionally, the advisory panel will be comprised of three staff representatives and three parent (or community) representatives from the North Springfield Elementary School community. If you are interested in serving as a panelist, please submit your information by close of business on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, using the Google form linked here. Please note that there was a technical error in the previous link that was provided. If you have already submitted your information using the previous link please use the Google link provided above to submit your information to ensure that we capture your important input. Please review the meeting recording for additional details on the panel process and time commitment required of panelists. The Region 6 Leadership Team will review all submissions and select staff and community members to serve as either panelists or alternates for these in-person interviews. The Department of Human Resources will contact the individuals who are selected to serve in this capacity.

Fairfax County Public Schools’ mission is to provide creative, knowledgeable, and talented leadership to ensure student success. To determine the best match for the leadership needs at your school, parent and staff perspectives will be used to screen candidate resumes and develop interview questions. Please provide input detailing the skills, experiences, and leadership characteristics needed at your school. Include challenges and issues that the new principal will need to address. Principal professional skills include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources, organizational management, and communication and community relations.
