THE BOOK FAIR IS NEXT WEEK!
Book Fair schedule during school days:
3/3-3/7: 9:30-12:30
3/3-3/6: 1:30-3:30
Late Hours: Tuesday, March 4th 4:30-7:30
Early Hours: Thursday, March 6th 7:45-9:05
Sign your child up for their E-wallet today.
Check out our Scholastic Book Fair homepage to find out more about the fair and sign up your child today for their Ewallet, a cashless way to shop. This year will be one of our largest to date adding more cases and tables with all the latest hits. Preview the online catalog to see what will be in the store. More than 15% of all of our books will be priced under $5!

FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT/LATE NIGHT AT THE BOOK FAIR - MARCH 4

Family Literacy Night/Late Night at the Book Fair: March 4th
“Reading Under the Stars”
On Tuesday, March 4th, Dranesville will be hosting a night of literacy fun!
- Shop the book fair from 4:30 - 7:30!
- Stop by the cafeteria from 5:30 - 7:30 for a special night of grade-level activities!
- Stop by the gym to “read under the stars.” Bring your purchases or your favorite book, a sleeping bag, and join us for a cozy night of reading!
RUN-A-THON KICKS OFF MARCH 13TH!
This year’s Run-A-Thon fundraiser will kick off on March 13th and collect donations through Friday, April 11th. Students who register online and raise $25 on opening weekend March 13-16 will win a Run-A-Thon T-shirt!
Run dates for this year’s fundraiser will be Thursday, April 3rd and Friday, April 4th. Save the dates and keep an eye out for a volunteer signup.
MARCH BREAKFAST FOR THE STAFF - PI DAY PIE DAY!
Calling all FIRST GRADE FAMILIES! It’s your month to treat the staff to breakfast for their monthly meeting. However this month has a twist - the meeting falls on Friday, 3/14, also known as 3.14 PI DAY! We would like to treat the staff to a delicious array of pies on March 14th and we would love your support to make this special day even sweeter!
Any monetary donations starting at $1 will go directly toward purchasing a variety of pies to spoil our amazing staff. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in making this Pi Day memorable for everyone! Thank you for helping us show our appreciation!

Dragon Runners Spring 2025 starts Tuesday, March 18th
The Dragon Runners Group is a running program designed for 3rd-6th graders. This is an exciting program that is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running.
