 KJMS Science Olympiad wins Regional Championship
On February 15th, KJMS Science Olympiad finished first overall at the VASO Centreville Regional. With the win, KJMS Science Olympiad qualified for the VASO State Tournament.
KJMS Science Olympiad Teams won first place in 7 events and won 25 total medals!
Congratulations to KJMS Science Olympiad team members, Mrs. Verma, Dr. Gosavi and all the KJMS SO families!
The Western Fairfax Futsal League came to a conclusion last week. KJMS Girls Futsal finished runner-up to Rocky Run. KJMS Boys Futsal beat Hughes MS to be crowned Champions. Congratulations to both teams for a successful season and to Daniela and Adriano for being named Western Fairfax Futsal League Players of the Year!
  
K-Pop Dance Club starts this week!
Any student who is interested in K-pop and enjoys dancing is welcome to join! Our club is a place where students can dance together and experience Korean culture. A Professional K-pop dance instructor, who was a former trainee at a major Korean entertainment agency, will be guiding our practice sessions.
- Meeting Schedule: Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:00 PM
- First Meeting this week on 2/27
- Our goal is to perform at Hanbowl on April 5th - we may practice more days as needed

KJMS Paper Quilling Club will begin a new session on Thursday, February 6th!
In this club, students will delve into the fascinating world of paper quilling, a traditional craft that transforms simple strips of paper into intricate and stunning designs. Guided by an experienced mentor, participants will learn various quilling techniques, from basic coils and scrolls to advanced shapes and designs. Each session will introduce new skills and projects (bookmarks, magnets, cards, ornaments, 3d figures, candle holders, etc) allowing members to progressively build their expertise and confidence in this unique art form.
Meetings will take place from 2:30-4:00 on Thursdays:
2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, and 3/13

 Dear KJMS Families,
Exciting News! KJMS is gearing up for the 2025 Track and Field season. All students, whether beginners or experienced, are welcome to join! Explore events like the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, long jump, and shot put. New this season 4X400m reply. We practice twice a week (2:30pm – 4:20pm) at KJMS with Saturday morning competitions at local high schools. Be part of history and stay tuned for our parent/student interest meeting in February.
Please note that several steps must be completed before students can participate in ANY activities. (Practice and Meets)

Door 7 (near the cafeteria) is the location for pickup during After-School hours. Feel free to text your student when you arrive so they can meet you outside Door 7.
